Establishes BQ-Tadano (Beijing) Crane Co., Ltd., China's first joint company for the manufacture of construction cranes. BQ-Tadano becomes the key manufacturing and sales location in China for Tadano's truck cranes. Establishes the Tadano Middle East Representative Office in Dubai, UAE. |

In July 1996, TADANO received the ISO9001 certificate for quality from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) of the U.K. The ISO9000 series is a set of uniform standards, determined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which apply not to a specific product, but to the quality assurance and quality management systems of a company. The ISO9001 covers more categories than any other in the series, including quality assurance systems for design, development, production, installation, and servicing. The certification has raised global recognition of product reliability at TADANO.
