On Monday December 16th, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong of the Lao People's Democratic Republic toured the TADANO Shido Plant.
Prime Minister Thongsing was visiting Japan in order to attend the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit being held in Tokyo on Saturday December 14th. After the Summit's conclusion, the Prime Minister took a two-day regional tour of Kagawa from the 15th through the 16th, during which he visited TADANO Ltd. and several other companies in the prefecture.
On the day of his plant tour, the Prime Minister learned a great deal about TADANO's products as he was guided through the rough terrain cranes' final production line by the company officer in charge of the Production Division, and as he took an up-close look at the AR-5500M, the highest-capacity all terrain crane manufactured in Japan, which boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 550 tons.
Prime Minister Thongsing and the members of his delegation all showed acute interest in TADANO's manufacturing process, and they asked many questions during the Q&A session immediately following the plant tour.
